The Word – 4/6/16
Hi everyone! Spring snow storms mixed with sunny warm slushy days…what’s happening?! Hope you guys are enjoying our last few days of “winter” or “spring” up on the mountain!
All Mountain End of Season Party
Our all mountain employee end of season party will be this Friday, April 8th from 5-8pm in the Granite Peaks Lodge. There will be a catered dinner, awards, and a raffle for all employees and family/dependents! There will be Eastside and Westside employee transit vans departing at 8:15pm to accommodate those staying for the party.
Employee ride day for family/dependents will be Thursday, April 14th from Noon-4pm for some slushy spring riding! Hope to see you guys there.
Congrats to Level 2 Skiers
Congratulations to those that passed their Alpine Level 2 ski exam last weekend… round of applause to Jason Link, Brian Bourgeois, and Wendell Kruse! All of your studying and training has paid off!
End of Season Calendar
The mountain will be open April 23rd and 24th. Youth programs will be closed at this point, however we will offer discounted private lessons and adult group lessons if we can. We are not expecting you to extend your winter commitment, but if anyone isn’t quite ready to let winter go and wants to work, let us know and we’ll go from there!
As the season is slowly winding down please don’t forget to clear out your lockers on your last work day, return uniform to HR, return key cards, name tag, and lock. Also any gear in the gear closet must be cleared out too!
PSIA/AASI Reimbursement
Remember–those on good standing at the end of the season are eligible for up to $250 reimbursement for PSIA/AASI dues or materials if you have reached 250 development credits. An updated list of development credits, request hours, and training hours is posted in the locker room. More info to come from Steve Frink on the reimbursement details!

Kudos Board
Instructor explained things really well. That is why we are sending her to ski school, for the trained instructors to teach her how to ski better. (instructorAlicia Bodmer)
Dave Erickson was my instructor. He was amazing! He was knowledgeable, funny, patient and a great teacher. He had an excellent way of putting me at ease and calming my “beginner” nerves. I will recommend him to all my friends and request him for future lessons! (from Star Miller)
Your check-in staff at the kids program is awesome. Most teachers also great. (from Kristen Mckillop)
