Snowsports School Orientation and Pot Luck

Our Snowsports School Orientation (for all new and returning staff) will be held on November 5th! The order of events is different than in the past so please read carefully below. This is an event you MUST RSVP for as space is limited to the first 100 people. Please do so by emailing snowsports@stevenspass.com.  Here is the timeline:

    • Before Orientation:
      • RSVP by Tuesday, November 1st to snowsports@stevenspass.com.
      • You must have all of your on-boarding tasks completed in order to come to this orientation.
    • 8:00-9:30: HR is open for paperwork.
      • It is mandatory to complete your paperwork prior to attending orientation this year.
      • Please go to HR first thing
      • Don’t forget to bring your ID’s to complete. Drivers license and social security card/birth certificate OR a passport.
      • Please get here nice and early so all of us don’t show up at HR like a flood.
    • After HR: Locker Room open house!
      • Alright, we don’t expect you to all hang out at HR the entire time! Come on up, get your locker, and start filling out your orientation day tracker.
      • Bring a dish to pass for a breakfast pot-luck (yum)!
  • 10:00-12:30*: Company Orientation
    • This will be in the Summit Room of the Tye Creek Lodge
      • Look for the metal staircase on the lookers right of the TCL when coming from the Ski & Snowboard School building. That’ll lead you right to the room!
  • 12:30-1:30: Gear drop-off, Uniform Pick-up, and Rentals Purchasing!
    • After the meeting the Company Store will open for people to pick up uniforms. This is for full-time and part-time employees only (not intermittent coaches).
    • Bring the gear you’ll be teaching on to drop off with the techs.
      • All employees who work on-snow must have their equipment inspected before they can work on it this season.
      • Skiers need to bring their skis (with bindings!) and boots, snowboarders just need their boards (with bindings!).
    • We’re selling off some of the old rental fleet!
      • There will be a limited number (and sizes) of skis, snowboards, and boots for sale. $30 each item.
    • 1:30-2:30*: Snowsports School Meeting
      • We’ll start in the locker room!

We’re going to try and keep you moving throughout the day, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.

*Paid activities

Locker Room Remodel

We have done some renovating to accommodate more locker space and common shared space like lunch tables and seating. This is what it looks like right now, but more flooring and lockers are on their way.
