SSS STAFF: Orientation!

SATURDAY, Nov. 5th from 10:00am-2:30pm

What to expect at orientation:

  • Complete all on-boarding tasks online before arriving to HR
    • If you’ve forgotten your password or username, try and reset these credentials first on your own HERE. We understand that the reset link wasn’t working properly yesterday, but it is up and running today!
    • If you are still having problems logging in or completing these tasks, please contact HR at humanresources@stevenspass.com or 206-812-4510 EXT. 4290.
    • Again, if you haven’t done this paperwork do not come up on the 5th, you will not be able to attend orientation without this being completed.
  • Please arrive 2 hours before your orientation is scheduled and head to the basement of the Tye Creek Lodge where you will find the HR window.
  • You must bring proper I-9 IDs (Please see email that you received with your link to the on-boarding tasks for list of acceptable IDs.)
  • HR will be staffed and ready to process I-9s for 2 hours preceding orientation; the earlier you get here, the better!(This step must be completed before you can start any training or attend orientation.)
  • Orientation will be on the 2nd floor of the Granite Peaks Lodge. Check in will be at the top of the stairs where you will receive a name tag and a raffle ticket.
    • Orientation will be approximately 2.5 hours. It will be interactive and we hope that you will have fun!
  • Please pack a lunch and/or snacks/beverages.
    • We will have a very limited amount of lunch items/snacks/beverages stocked in the T-Bar and Company Store.
    • Sandwiches and wraps will be discounted in the T-BAR. (These items will be full price in the T-Bar during the season; but you will be able to buy them in the company store at discount during the season).
  • Uniforms will be distributed in the company store following orientation– This is for full-time and part-time employees only (not intermittent coaches).

Don’t Forget:

    • Skiers should bring the gear you’ll be teaching on to drop off with the techs.
      • All employees who work on-snow must have their equipment inspected before they can work on it this season.
      • There is a form to fill out before dropping your equipment available in the locker room.
      • Skiers need to bring their skis + bindings + boots.
      • Snowboarders will have a form form for self-inspection to complete and turn in. For this you’ll only need your make and model of your board, boots, and bindings.
    • Once you’ve completed paperwork with HR come on down to the locker room and join us for our breakfast potluck! Bring a dish to share if you’d like!
  • If you are unable to attend this weekend, sit tight- our next orientation date will be Nov 19th… more details to come!
